Lewis, Glenn E. On November 11, 2016, Glenn went home to be with his Lord. He was a charter member of Fair Havens Baptist Church where he served as treasure for more than fifty years. Glenn was retired from Knox County, where most of his years were spent as a supervisor for the Highway Department.
Glenn was a veteran of World War II, a member of Powell Masonic Lodge 582, the Scottish Rite, and served on the Board of Directors for the Knox County Farm Bureau. Of all his accomplishments, Glenn was the happiest working on his farm. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Florence and James Lewis; brothers, Paul and Gene, daughter-in-law Pat Lewis, and son-in-law Johnny Davis. Glenn is survived by his loving wife of seventy-six years Pauline Holbert Lewis. He is also survived by his son Ray Lewis, daughter Joyce Davis, son David Lewis and his wife Donna Murray. Glenn also leaves behind grandchildren Lisa Davis, Susan Laughters, Jennifer Davis, Brian Lewis, John Lewis, Aaron Murray, Amber Murray, Hannah Lewis and Caleigh Lewis. Great grandchildren include Rachel Laughters, Lyra Murray, Mila Murray, June Murray, and great-great grandchild Mariah Laughters. In lieu of flower arrangements, memorial contributions may be made to Fair Havens Baptist Church Building Fund 8909 Pedigo Rd, Powell, TN 37849. Funeral services will be held 7 pm Monday, November 14, 2016 at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with Dr. John Lewis officiating. Friends will meet at 10:45 Tuesday at Fort Sumter Cemetery for an 11 o’clock interment. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00pm, Monday, at Mynatt Funeral Home 4131 E. Emory Road.
