Glenda Rainey Jessee

Glenda Jessee, 83, of Knoxville, Tennessee, joined our lord and savior on July 04, 2021. Glenda was born on April 14, 1938, and preceded in death by her parents Sidney D Rainey, and Ruby Bassett Rainey. She is survived by her sister Brenda Turner, her niece Emily Butters, and Great Nephew Isaac Stout. Glenda was a retired Supervisor at TVA, and worked in the University of Tennessee Bursar's Office. She was a graduate of Central High School and the University of Tennessee Knoxville, where she was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority. Glenda was an active member of Central Baptist Church in Fountain City, Ossoli Circle, Knoxville Symphony League, and Cherokee Garden Club. Receiving of friends will be at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel on Friday August 6, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a memorial service to follow Rev. Ron Mouser officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45 a.m. Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Lynnhurst Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service. Flowers may be sent to Mynatt Funeral Home, or donations can be made in her name to Ossoli Circle or St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
