Henry, Glenda Charlene Vittetoe, age 70 of Corryton, TN was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 26, 2021. She was a faithful member of Clear Springs Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her parents Harvey and Esther Vittetoe, step-father Weir Monroe, brothers Doyle, Earl, Charlie, and Bo Vittetoe, and sister Ruby Vittetoe. Left to cherish her precious memory, her husband of 44 years Daryl Henry, daughters Michelle (Jason) Leadbetter of Corryton and Julie M. Henry of Knoxville, granddaughters Macy and Sophie Leadbetter, sister Edith Bertini of Annandale, VA, brother Lee (Roberta) Vittetoe of Mascot, sister-in-law Janice (Larry) Jones of Corryton, sisters-in-law Audrey Vittetoe of Washburn and Louise Vittetoe of Waterford MI, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 29, 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Clear Springs Baptist Church, Corryton. A celebration of life service will immediately follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Jerry Vittatoe and Rev. Justin Pratt officiating. Graveside service will be on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery. The family requests that all who would like to attend to consider their health, and honor Glenda by attending in person or via the live stream of the service on Michelle Henry Leadbetter’s Face Book page. Masks and social distancing will be required for those attending. The Henry family would like to offer the sincerest appreciation to the nurses and doctors of Tennova North ICU for their dedication and wonderful care they offered Glenda. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or Clear Springs Baptist Church Building Fund (Corryton).
