Glen Ray Collins, age 73, went to be with the Lord March 30, 2014. He was a member of Baxter Avenue Baptist Church and retired from TAMKO Asphalt. Preceded in death by parents, Bill and Nanny Collins. Survived by wife, Shirley Wright Collins; daughter, Linda Beeler of Atlanta, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and David Sandberg of Knoxville, Sherry and J.D. Smith of Knoxville; son, Johnny Beeler, Jr. of Atlanta, GA; daughter, Wanda Sue Beeler of Knoxville; son, Jim Robinson, of Virginia; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn Hammer of Knoxville, Phyllis (Richard) Davis of Knoxville, Jayetta and (Jake) Smith of Dante; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 7:00 pm Tuesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with Rev. Eddie Myers officiating. Family and friends will meet by 10:30 am Wednesday at the funeral home and proceed to Ft. Sumter Cemetery for 11:00 am interment. The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 pm Tuesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
