Glen Alan Keck, 77, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away Monday February 18th, 2013 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. He was an U.S. Army Veteran, member of Powell United Methodist Church, scoutmaster of Troop of 509 for many years, Optimus Club member of the year 1976, Gideons North Camp member, co-owner/operator of the Halls Freezo, and avid contest winner! He was preceded in death by parents Edith Coker and Clarence Christopher Keck.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carolyn Keck, sons Alan (Michelle), Bruce (Janet), and Richard Todd (Suzanne), and by grandchildren Brad (Nicole) Davis, Brock (Emilee) Davis, Alexandra Moore, Kevin Keck, David Keck, and Savannah Keck, great grandchildren Turner and Tenley Davis, brothers and sister, Bobby (Catherine), Bill (Virginia), Betty McKenzie (Arthur), mother-in-law Ellen Davis Hurst, and sister-in-law Gayle Evans, and brother in law, Dennis Davis. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation 6504 Dean Hill Drive Knoxville, TN 37919 or Highways and Biways Ministries c/o Powell Church, or Gideons International. Funeral services will 8 PM Friday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City chapel with Rev. Robert Holmes and Don Dare officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45 AM Saturday at Highland Memorial Cemetery for 11 AM interment. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Friday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City.
