Gladys Lorrayne Story

Gladys Simpson Story, of Knoxville, passed away on November 17, 2022, at the age of 101. She was born in 1921 in McEwen, Tennessee. In 1942, she obtained a clerical position with the FBI in Washington, DC, and served her country until the end of World War II. Gladys married Louis Story in 1945, and they had a long and happy life together. She is preceded in death by husband, Louis; parents, James and Josie Simpson; sisters, Margaret Dunagan and Jewell Simpson. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Jane Story; grandsons, Owen Story, Grant Story and fiancé Lauren Buckner all of Maryville. Family and friends will gather on Monday, November 21, 2022, at Lynnhurst Cemetery for a 3:00pm graveside service officiated by Rev. Magan Stubblefield.
