Gladys Marie Cox

Gladys Marie Cox, age 82 of Knoxville, TN went to her Heavenly Home to be with the Lord on January 12, 2024, at UT medical center. Gladys was born Aug 9th 1941, in Lamar, West Virginia and was the daughter of Fred Lee Burchette and Matilda Haynes. Gladys was a loving wife, mother, Grandmother and great - Grandmother Gladys was married to the love of her life Don Cox, of 46 yrs. Gladys never met a stranger, she loved the Lord Jesus and was known for her loving and caring nature, fun personality and always giving. Gladys loved to write gospel music, sing and dance. 

Gladys is preceded in death by her beloved husband Don Cox; Son, Dennis Conner Rose; step- daughter, Tammy Cox; Three brothers, Sidney Burchette, William E Burchette and Carl Burchette; Two sisters, Carolyn Hope Myers and Helen Mullins. 

Gladys is survived by her sister, Virginia Fabinski; Three sons, Doug, Chad and Brad Cox; grandchildren Olivia cox, Donna Cox and Tamera Caylor and great friend Harriet (sis) Burchell. 

A memorial service for family and friends will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024 at 7pm, Located at The Gospel church at 1247 Delaware Ave Knoxville, TN. In lieu of flowers, funeral expense donations are greatly appreciated.
