Geraldine Underwood

Geraldine (Geri) Walker Underwood age 79 went home to meet her heavenly Father on Tuesday, July 19, 2022. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. Geri loved her family, she also enjoyed sewing, watching game shows, and was an avid reader. Geri was preceded in death by parents Richard Walker and Belva Walker Walton; and stepfather Worth Walton; brother George Walker; sister Janie Walton Mize; husband Dennis Underwood; daughter Teresa Underwood Harwell; granddaughter Apryl Crawford, son-in-law Kevin Mitchell. She is survived by her daughter Gail Mitchell; grandchildren William (Diane) Crawford, Sam (Sydney Mollica) Mitchell ,Jaclyn (Andrew) Powers; great grandchildren Henry Crawford, and Millicent Powers; brothers David (Judy) Walton, Terry (Denise) Walton; sister-in laws Dotty Walker, Linda Underwood Houser; sister-in-law and brother- in- law Suzi and Jim Maner; several special nieces and nephews. A receiving of friends will be held Sunday, July 24, 2022; from 12:30 – 2:30 pm with service to follow at 2:30 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with David Walton officiating. After the conclusion of the service the family and friends will proceed to Dyer Cemetery in Luttrell for a graveside service. Serving as pallbearers are William Crawford, Sam Mitchell, Andrew Powers, Ricky Walker, Tim Walton, Eddie Mize, and Brandon Walton. Henry Crawford will serve as honorary pallbearer. The family would like to thank Cindy Pugh for her devoted love and care for Geri the last 10 months.
