Georgetta E. Harrell

Georgetta E. Harrell, age 96, of Knoxville passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016. She was baptized in 2015 at the age of 94 at the First Apostolic Church in Knoxville. She retired from Knoxville Scenic Studio. She loved flowers, enjoyed gardening, and was an excellent seamstress. Preceded in death by husband, Barton Harrell, II; son, Barton Harrell, III; parents, Will and Nancy Jefferis; grandson, Donald H. Ettel; great-grandson, Zachary Ettel; sisters, Dean Emert and Tave Smith. Survived by daughters, Judith Watson and husband James, Sonia Lay, and Jane Elkins; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Betty Harrell; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Thursday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. Family and friends will meet 12:45 pm Friday at Liberty Hill Cemetery, Washburn for 1:00 pm graveside service. Grandsons will be honored to serve as pallbearers.
