George Langston Clark

August 22, 1941 — September 10, 2012

George L. Clark, Jr., of Knoxville, passed away suddenly Monday September 10, 2012. He was a member of Texas Valley Baptist Church and retired from Roadway Express. Preceded in death by father George L. Clark Sr., mother Mildred Clark and brother Charles E. Clark. He is survived by loving and devoted wife Brenda Vaughn Clark, son and companion Eddie Clark and Aricia Nail, loving granddaughter Brittany Clark, step-daughter Cheryl Tindell and husband Terry, step-son Mark Vaughn and wife Suzanne, step-grandchildren Lucas and Kati Tindell and Drew Vaughn, great grandchildren whom he loved dearly Jordan, Riley, and Shyla Tindell, sisters Elizabeth Neloms and Charlotte Wright and husband Jack, brothers Tom Clark and wife Phyllis and Steve Clark and wife Linda, foster daughters Bonnie Smith and Rebecca Weaver, friend Linda Clark, as well as several nieces and nephews. Mr. Clark’s nephews will be serving as pallbearers. Funeral service will be 8 pm Thursday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with Rev. Charlie Tindell and Rev. Jamie Webber officiating. Family and friends will meet 9:30 am Friday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City to proceed to Greenwood Cemetery for entombment at 10:00 am. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Thursday.
