George Franklin Horner, a loving husband, devoted father, proud Marine Veteran, and cherished family member, passed away on April 6, 2024, in Knoxville, TN. He was born on March 30, 1939. Throughout his life, George exemplified courage, kindness, and strength in everything he did.

During his time in the military, George served as a Marine Veteran with honor and distinction. His commitment to serving his country was a true testament to his character and bravery.

​He is preceded in death by son George Horner, Jr., and parents Merle and Mary Katherine Horner.

George is survived by his beloved wife Starlette Horner, who stood by his side through thick and thin. He will be deeply missed by his children Kelly, Cheryl, and Kenneth Horner, whose lives he enriched with love and wisdom. George's legacy lives on through his grandchildren Mark and Kayla Horner, as well as his great-grandchild Landon Horner.

In addition to his immediate family, George leaves behind his sister Irine Cechini and nephew Mark Cechini. His presence brought warmth and joy to all those around him, and he will be remembered for his infectious smile, compassionate heart, and unwavering love for his family.
