Geocises Donnette Tate Malone, age 54, of Knoxville, passed away on February 27, 2024. She was of the Baptist faith. Geocises went to Central High School and then on to Pellissippi Community College to pursue her love of photography. Geocises was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to all. She was full of fun and laughter and was the life of the party. She loved children and was just a big kid at heart, herself. There was never a dull moment when Geocises was around.
She is preceded in death by grandparents, Roy and Odessa Johnson, Willie and Fannie Mae Tate, son, Anthony Scott Cash, Jr. and Anthony Scott Cash, Sr., niece, Yasha Yvette Tate, brother, Robert Johnson, cousin, Andrew Howell, cousin, TaRoyce McCormick and sister-in-law, Brenda Johnson.
Geocises is survived by her husband, Edward Roosevelt Malone; children, Joseph Andre McDowell, Jr., Roycises E. S. Malone, her earthly daughter, Ja`Maziah Howell; parents, George (Emma) Tate and Martha Tate; grandchildren, Joseph McDowell, Jr., Jordan McDowell, Paris Cash and JoAngel Cash; siblings, Kimberly Tate, LaTasha McMillan (Dexter), Celester Tate, Wilson Johnson (Annie); A host of great aunts, uncles, cousins and friends to include Tate, Croom, Sanders and Sawyers. Geocises was like the little old lady that lived in the shoe, she had so many kids, she didn't know what to do but to love each and every single one in her own special way.
Receiving of friends will be Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel, with the funeral service at 1:00 pm. Reverend Ron Mouser is officiating the service. Special music by Geocises' niece, JaMaziah Howell. Following the service, family and friends will go in procession to Mount Olive Cemetery, 2500 Maryville Pike, Knoxville, TN 37920 for the graveside service.
