Geneva Raley Lay

Lay, Geneva Raley- age 90 of Maynardville passed away November 28, 2013 at Tennova Residential Hospice in Halls. Geneva was a long time member of Hubbs Grove Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Deana and Harley Raley Sr.; daughter, Mary Katherine Lay; brother, Raymond Lewis Raley; sisters, Evelyn and Dorothy Raley. Survived by sons, Larry (Brenda) and E.J. (Cathy) Lay, of Maynardville; daughters, Gail (Glen) O’Dell, of Corryton, Brenda Lay of Knoxille; grandchildren, Glenn (Kelly), Lance, Johnny (Ashley), Dusty (Cindy) Lay, Chris (Laura) and Scott Tolliver, Danielle (Aaron) Donahue all of Maynardville; ten great grandchildren; sisters Edith Kitts and Pauline of Maynardville, Maxie (Jack) Monroe, Betty Brooks, Chris (H.E.) Leach of Knoxville; brother Dewey Raley of Corryton and H.I. (Cheryl) Raley Jr. of Maynardville. The family will receive friends Saturday 1:00-2:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with funeral service to follow at 2:00pm with Rev. Harrell Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery in Maynardville. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
