Gavin A. West, age 21, Knoxville, TN passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023.

Gavin is survived by his parents Todd and Jena West, and younger brother Garrett West, Grandparents Debbie Bryant, Brilla Hansard, and Jackie Gant-Caldwell. Aunts and Uncles include Russell and Valerie Bryant, Carol and Chris Adcock, Roberta Litteral, Madison Bryant, Paula Bryant, Angela Bryant, and Trever Bryant. His cousins include Jessica and Steve Boyd, Jonathan Bryant, Adrian Litteral, Kaiden Litteral, and Lillian Adcock.

Gavin was preceded in death by his grandfathers Larry G. Bryant, Randy Litteral, and Ronnie West, and by his aunt Nicole Bryant.

Gavin was a 2020 graduate of Powell High School in Powell, TN, as well as a student at Pellissippi State Community College where he studied Audio Production.

He worked as a contracted independent sound engineer for several local Knoxville venues including Thompson Bowling Arena, Neyland Stadium, Bijou Theater, the Civic Coliseum, and numerous smaller venues. He also assisted with sound production at Concord United Methodist Church and Cokesbury United Methodist Church each Sunday morning.

Gavin was an Eagle Scout with Troop 157 in Powell, TN. He also had numerous interests and hobbies including his love of music and movies, but none surpassed his love for his dog, Peaches.

Gavin's kind heart, warm smile, and infectious laugh will be missed by so many, but none· more than his parents and younger brother. He always made sure everyone knew how much he loved them and if they ever were in need, all they had to do was call and he was there.

The family would like to invite everyone to a celebration of Gavin's life, for fellowship, and to pay their respects, on October 8, 2023, from 5pm to 7pm at Mynatt Funeral Home located in Powell, TN.

In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations to purchase a memorial bench at a local park. Donations can be made through Venmo, @Jena-West.
