Gary Ray Wilkerson

Gary Wilkerson gained his angel wings on November 5th, 2020. His final days were spent surrounded by family and he passed away comfortably in his home. Gary was born November 27, 1965, in Knoxville, TN, to the late BuddyR. Wilkerson and Lois J. Wilkerson. He graduated from Powell High School. He enjoyed watching sports, cooking, fishing, hunting, and attending all his Grandbabies baseball and basketball games. He was an extremely talented wood working craftsman and spentthirty years mastering his trade. He is survived by his loving partner, Lori Smith, step daughters Kattie Smith, Whitnie Smith, Son-in-law Cleshon Bess, Grandchildren Jameson Bess, Trendon Bess, Evelynn Bess, stepmom Emma Wilkerson, sister Charlene (Tim) Weaver, and his nephews Shane Weaver, Jonathan (Marie) Weaver, and Nathan (Lizette) Weaver. The family will receive friends on Sunday, Nov. 8th , 5-7pm at Mynatt’s Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel. Family and friends will meet 10:45 am Monday, Nov. 9th, at Lynnhurst Cemetery for a graveside service at 11am officiated by Pastor David Snyder.
