Gail Whitson

Gail Whitson, age 76, of Knoxville, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. Gail was a light to many and a Godly woman who loved immensely. She was a wonderful and compassionate wife, mother, nana, sister, and friend. She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Ed Whitson; son, Terry Whitson; parents, Charlie and Wanda Jones; sister, Juanita Headrick; and brother, Robert Jones. Gail will be greatly missed by her daughter, Teresa (Jim) Stroud; grandchildren, Brandon Stroud, Tiffany Leslie, Taylor Dills, and Katrina Woodby; great-grandchildren, Madison, Ayden, Wyatt, Parker, and Paisley; four sisters; two brothers; a host of nieces and nephews; and special friends, the Weaver family. Special thank you to our KK (Karen Hubbs) for all your love and care for Nana and our family. The family will receive friends at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel 5:00pm – 7:00pm on Friday, May 13, 2022, with a service to follow at 7:00pm. Family and friends will meet at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel on Saturday, May 14th at 10:15 am for a procession to Lynnhurst Cemetery for an 11:00 am graveside service.
