Freeman H. Dalton, age 82, of Powell went to see his Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family after a brief illness. He was President of his graduating class of Rule High School in 1958 and kept in touch with his classmates. After graduation he became employed with Standard Glass, in 1962 he began his 39-year career at Rohm and Haas Specialty Chemical Company and retired in 2001. After retirement, he worked in the Service Department at Rusty Wallace Honda until his illness. He was an active member and Sunday School Teacher at Dutch Valley Baptist Church and a witness to all for his beloved Jesus Christ. Freeman was an avid “car guy”, he loved NASCAR, Muscle Cars, and was a UT Football and Basketball fan. He is preceded in death by mother, June L. Dalton. He is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Moyah Dalton, children, Kelly Dalton Barbee, Tim Dalton and Wayne D. Sexton II (Sandy). Grandchildren Sam Barbee, Danielle Sexton Arnold (Zachary) and Logan Sexton. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday March 31, 2021 at Dutch Valley Baptist Church 909 Dutch Valley Road Knoxville followed by a 7:00 p.m. Celebration of Life service Rev. Charlie Reynolds officiating. The family ask in lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Dutch Valley Baptist Church, Wounded Warrior Project or Friends of Israel.
