Fred Galbreath, 69, entered into eternal peace on Sunday, March 25, 2018. Fred, was born Fredie James Galbreath (Sr.) to Erica and Dorsey Galbreath in Bad Nauheim, Germany on August 19, 1948. He grew up in New Jersey then moved to Paris, KY in 1966 where he met, Sharon. They were married on July 24, 1970 in Cane Ridge, KY. He worked at United Parcel Service, where he served for over fifteen years. Then, his work adventures led him to several different companies serving in various customer service roles. His spirit and love of discipleship shined through the Sunday school classroom to the mountain chapel to a prison ward, where he worked hard to show the love of Christ to others. His wit, spirit of volunteerism, and love for Christ will be dearly missed. When not spending time with friends and family, Fred liked to fish, read, and watch Jeopardy. Fred was a beloved husband, brother, father, and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his mother, Erica, his father, Dorsey, and his sister, Cathy. He is survived by his wife, Sharon, his brother, Steve, his son, Fredie Jr., his daughters, Dawn, Desiree, and Diana, and their respective families, including his nine grandchildren. Visitation and services will be at Arlington Church of Christ, on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 2206 Tecoma Drive Knoxville, TN, 37917. Visitation is at 6:00pm and the service will be at 7:00pm with Minister Mark Brackney. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the nurses and staff at Maple Court who cared for him dearly during the past year.
