Francois “Fran” Roberts, age 94, of Knoxville, passed away peacefully at 2:13PM on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at her home.
Fran was a wonderful Christian wife and mother with a contagious smile and laugh. She retired from G&A Palmer and was a member of First Baptist church Ft. City for almost 50 years. During that time, she was an Adult Choir soloist and Adult 4 Sunday School Class member.
Preceded in death by parents, John J. and Hazel H. Smithers; husband of 47 years, Jim Roberts; sisters, Shirley Smithers, Colleen Byrd, Lois Underwood; brother, John Ed Smithers.
Survived by son, Ernie Roberts; several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to Mary Margaret Simpson and Elaine Eldridge, special friends and wonderful caregivers, UT Hospice and Dr. Amy Rosine and her office staff.
The family will receive friends On Friday, November 18, 2022, at Mynatt Funeral Home Ft. City Chapel from 4:00pm until time of funeral service at 6:00pm with Rev. Larry Beeler officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45am on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at New Gray Cemetery for an 11:00am graveside service.
