Vandyke, Frances M., born September 28, 1918 in Muskegon MI., died Saturday, July 14, 2012 following a short illness with her children by her side. She was a long time member of The Lady’s of Charity, serving as Welfare Coordinator for several years and volunteer until her mid 80’s. In addition, she was an active member of Blessed John XXIII Catholic Church, where she attended and loved her adult bible class. Frances was most happy when working in her yard, cooking for and being around her family. Preceded in death by husband; Harry R. VanDyke, parents; James and Mary Gilroy, brother; Jimmy Gilroy. Survived by daughters; Sharon (Gary) Snyder, Diane (Charles) Sarafin, Frances Hickman, Shirley VanDyke, son; Gregory (Paula) VanDyke, 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Friends and family will gather Wednesday, 3 p.m. for Funeral Mass at All Saints Catholic Church then proceed to Greenwood Cemetery for interment, Father Charlie Donahue and Father Rich Andre officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Lady’s of Charity, KARM, or a charity of your choice. The family will receive friends at All Saints Catholic Church on Wednesday from 1:30-3 p.m. Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City in charge of arrangements.
