Frances Marion Lawson

Frances “Fatsy” Marion Day Lawson, age 72, of Knoxville, received her wings and went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 18th, 2017. She was born on July 21st, 1945 to the late Christopher and Lillian Taylor Day. She was a born-again Christian, loved by so many, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by siblings Barbara Brown, Pearl Mullins, Josie Long, and Earl, Billy and Robert Day. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 55 years Ronnie “Babe” Lawson, children Ronnie (Donna) Lawson, Jr., Rhonda Heathman, Douglas (Toni) Lawson, and Jimmy (Linda) Lawson, 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, siblings Christopher Day, Dorothy Hurst, Edith Williford, George Day, twin sister Carolyn “Blacky” Wade, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 24th, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel, with funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Rev. Ross Williford will be officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 25th, 2017 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel to travel in procession to Roseberry Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. interment service.
