Fontella Keck Jarnagin, born May 14, 1935, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord on March 23, 2013. Fontella was the loving and devoted wife of Kenneth D. Jarnagin for 59 years. Also survived by daughters Cheryl Crye and husband Brad, Traci Rhea and husband Scott, grandchildren Todd Turner, Natalie Turner, Sarah Rhea Calkin and husband Derrick, Meredith Rhea,Nicole Crye, Emily Crye, Katie Beth Crye, great-granddaughter, Anderson Elaine Helton, brother and sister-in-law Damon and Wilma Keck, sister and brother-in-law Alma and Ed Cherry, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws Robert Jarnagin, June Troutman, Boyd and Helen Jarnagin, Reece and Betty Jarnagin, Bruce and Sue Jarnagin, Jim and Bertha Jarnagin, David and Eloise McGoldrick, a host of nieces and nephews, and life-long friends.Preceeded in death by parents Henry and Edna Summers Keck, daughter Elaine Jarnagin, brothers Marvin and Paul Keck, brother-in-law Hugh Allen Jarnagin, brother-in-law Bill Troutman, sister-in-law Martha Jarnagin, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Stanley and Gail Jarnagin. The family will receive friends at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 25, 2013 with a celebration of life service to follow at 2:00 p.m., with Dr. Jim Robertson officiating. The burial will follow at Roseberry Baptist Church in Mascot, TN. Pallbearers will be Todd Turner, Scott Rhea, Derrick Calkin, Ed Cherry, Rex Keck and Marvin Keck. The family would like to express their eternal gratitude and love to the staff of the Ben Atchley State Veteran’s Home in Knoxville. Their devotion to the care and well-being of Fontella was expressed each and every day by all that worked with her for the last three years of her life.
