Floyd H. Daniels, 83, of Knoxville, died May 11, 2017 at Ft. Sanders Hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Daniels is survived by his son and daughter in-law, Mark and Delynn Daniels, grandchildren Geran Daniels, Dylan Daniels and wife Catherine and niece Sandra Ford and husband Bud.
Floyd is a veteran of 23yrs in the United States Army. Serving in the Vietnam War and also both state side and abroad in Germany. Throughout his service he was awarded with the Bronze Star and several Military commendations and medals for his dedication. He grew up in Halls Cross Roads, the son of Grant and Zetta Daniels, brother of Aileen Daniels/Mullins. Attended Halls High School and worked at Standard Knitting Mill and Ford Car Manufacturing in Ohio before joining the Army. While stationed in Germany he meet the love of his life, wife Inge Daniels who preceded him in death due to Lung Cancer August 13, 2010. Both Floyd and Inge were active members of St. John's Lutheran Church Knoxville, Tn. After retiring from the United States Army Floyd started his second
career in 1976 with Plasti Line in Knoxville, Tn as Production Forman until 2000 when he retired. Visitation will be from 10am - 11am Monday May 15th followed by Services at 11am. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 544 Broadway, with Pastor Stephen Misenheimer and Rev. Ed Templeton officiating. He will then be interred next to his soul mate at Fort Sumter Cemetery, 4823 Salem Church Road, Halls.
