Stooksbury, Fern Elkins-age 62 of Powell, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Tennova Hospice in Halls. She was born February 8, 1952 in Knox County and was retired from Oak Ridge National Labs where she had worked for 36 years as a web developer. She was preceded in death by parents, Luther and Rena Elkins. Survivors include husband of 42 years, Gerald Stooksbury; daughters and sons-in-law, Lori and Will Enkema of Knoxville, Jeri and Matt Barger of Roanoke, Virginia and son Josh Stooksbury of Andersonville; grandsons Keegan and Hudson Barger; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jackie and Howard Beckwith of Maryville, Kaye and Sonny Robinson of Monterey, TN, Faye and Billy Anderson of Knoxville, Judy and Art Allen of Knoxville; brothers and sisters-in-law Richard Elkins of Clearwater, Florida, David and Rebecca Elkins of Athens, Alabama, Kern and Charlotte Elkins of Andersonville; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Funeral service will be 8pm Tuesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with Rev. Jerry Walton officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:45 am Wednesday at Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery for interment service at 10 am. Gerald, Josh, Matt, Will, Kern and Blake will serve as pallbearers.
