Everett Lee Wilkerson

Everett Lee Wilkerson left this world to be with his Lord and Savior the morning of September 27, 2021, at Tennova North hospital in Knoxville, at the age of 69. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and a devout Christian. Son to the late Vasco (Father) and Annalou (Mother) Wilkerson. Preceded in death by Bernice Whaley (sister), Billy, Kyle, and Ulis Wilkerson (brothers). He leaves behind his loving wife of fifty years, Lucie Kay Wilkerson, daughters: Melissa (Tim) Bennett, Meredith (Brian) Mynatt, Murcedes (Eric) Gunsallus, Moriah (Carl) Burriss, grandchildren: Madison (Spencer) Lucas, Malorie Bennett, Jeb Mynatt, Jacob Mynatt, Josiah Mynatt, Grace Gunsallus, Everett Gunsallus, Elias Gunsallus, Mitchell Mellon, Micah Mellon, Annalise Mellon and loving friend, Jason Mellon. Also missed by many extended family and friends. As a member and Deacon of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church, Everett touched many through his witty character and enjoyed lifting up others in conversation. From small talk at his hot dog stand, to his Sunday morning greeting, you were always able to see God’s light shine through him. Family will receive friends Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Wallace Memorial Baptist Church from 5:00 - 7:00 pm; Funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm, Kent Williams officiating. Family and friends will meet at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel at 1:00 pm to proceed to Bethany Cemetery for a 2:00 pm interment on Friday, October 1, 2021.
