Evelyn Marie Elkins

E. Marie Elkins, age 78 of Halls, went home to be with the Lord on August 7, 2012. She was a member of Third Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Christine Bright and brother, James (Jr.) Bright. She leaves to cherish her memory, husband James Elkins; daughters and sons-in-law Gail and Doug Lowe, Barbara and Mike Kidwell, Bessie and Cotton Majors, Debbie and Kenny Rutledge; son and daughter-in-law Archie (George) and Kimberly Long. She also leaves her devoted step daughters, Kathy Turpin, Mary Sue Long, Judy Elkins, Brenda Hambert, and Sherry Ottinger; 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Family and friends will meet 10:15 am Thursday at the funeral home and proceed to Lynnhurst Cemetery for 11:00 am graveside service. Rev. Eddie Beeler officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
