Eva Jean Rogers

Eva Jean (Brantley) Rogers, 83, of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord on December 23, 2022, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born on June 9, 1939, in Union County, TN, Eva loved the Lord, and was a lifetime member of the Baptist church. She was devoted to her family and friends, and loved shopping, reading, and talking on the phone. She was preceded in death by her husband, RT Rogers, her parents, Onis and Beulah Sorey Brantley, brothers Earl and Vernon Brantley, and sisters, Eilena Brantley Wyrick and Wandella Brantley Myers. She is survived by her children, Keith (Suzanne) Wyrick of Dothan, AL, Wayne Keck of Maynardville, and Lisa Keck (David) Young of Cherryville, NC; grandchildren Loraleigh Therrien, Carrie (Jonathan) Woods, Mary (Johnny) Alvarez, Morgan (Gray) Morris, Ethan Young, Derek, Madison, and Myranda Wyrick; great-grandchildren Leighton Young, Elaina and Madelyn Woods, Shepherd, Isabella, and Abigail Morris, and Vivian and Anna Alvarez. She is also survived by her loving sister and brother-in-law, Bernice and Berney Long, and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 28 from 12:00-2:00 pm, with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm at Beaver Dam Baptist Church in Halls, Rev. Tony White officiating. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Lynnhurst Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Rick Wyrick, Gray Morris, Jonathan Woods, Shawn Mason, Cody Mason, and LeeRoy Lay, Honorary Ethan Young.
