LOWE, EUNICE MARILYN – of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away Monday, November 5, 2018 while in Hospice Care at home. She was born June 13, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan to Roy & Lucille Idyle. She was an avid reader and loved nothing more than having her children and grandchildren together. Marilyn is survived by her six children, twelve grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; son, Kevin (Sheryl) Lowe (Tampa, FL); grandson, Steven Abernathy (Richmond, VA); great-grandson (August), grandson Michael Lowe (Charlotte, NC), grandson Marshall (Jessica) Lowe (Athens, TN); son, Roy (Marsha) Lowe (Charlotte, NC); granddaughter, Alicia (Michael) Kahrs (Ooltewah, TN); great-grandchildren (Tony, Coby, Ethan & Tylie); grandson, Matthew Lowe (Costa Mesa, CA); grandson Mark (Laura) Horn (Atlanta, GA); granddaughter Rachel Horn (Asheville, NC); daughter, Michele Bowman; grandchildren, Ashley (Adam) Cross (Ooltewah, TN); great-grandson (Evan), grandson Phillip (Ashley) Bowman; son, David Lowe (Sevierville, TN); granddaughter SarahAnn (David) Tiner (Toledo, OH); great-grandson’s Jacob, Bishop and Brodie); grandson, Damon (Jessica) Lowe (Bay City, MI), grandson, Derrick Lowe (Asheville, NC); son, Brian (Meg) Lowe (Minneapolis, MN); granddaughter Sarah (Phil) Rickert (Blaine, MN); great-grandchildren Grady, Ryan and Logan; grandson Cory (Kathleen) Fruin (Rochester, MN); daughter, Kelley (Stephan) Gardner (Knoxville, TN); granddaughter, Brittany Gardner and grandson Emmanuel Cuveas; great-grandchildren (Yalicia Dutch and Emmanuel).
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Alfred G. (Bud) Lowe, Jr.; her mother and father Roy & Lucille Idyle (Berkley, MI), 2 brothers and 2 sisters (Detroit, MI). Surviving are her sisters Annetta (Roy) Sodal (Wixom, MI), Sharon Jennings (Berkley, MI), and brothers Eddie (Jan) Idyle (Sterling Heights, MI) and Robert (Mary Jo) Idyle (Berkley, MI).
Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 10, 2018, 11:00am at Central Church of God, 4721 Papermill Road, Knoxville, TN 37909 with her son in law, Stephan Gardner officiating, Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Fountain City. Mrs. Lowe’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Body will lie in state one hour before service. The family would like to thank Dr. Sunil John and University of Tennessee Hospice for their loving care through their mother’s illness.
