Eula Harper, age 95, passed away March 26, 2017. She was a long time member of Temple Baptist Church in Powell. She loved to read about East Tennessee and Knoxville history and was a great storyteller about growing up in rural Tennessee. She was a devoted wife to Mack for 59 years. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, who was loved by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by husband Mack Harper; and son Bill Harper. She is survived by daughters Joyce Powell, of Knoxville and Betty Sweat, of La Porte, Texas; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother Kyle Holt; brother-in-law Buford (Cecile) Harper; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Temple Baptist Church of Powell or Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00pm, Tuesday, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with funeral service to follow at 7:00pm. Family and friends will meet 10:45am, Wednesday, at Lynch-Bethel Cemetery for interment at 11:00am.
