Eugene W. Hankins

Eugene Hankins, age 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 15th, 2021. He was of the Church of God faith. Preceded in death by parents, Raymond and Nellie Hankins, his wife, Millie Hankins, daughters, Kathy Jo, Connie, and Glenda, grandsons, Joshua and Justin. He leaves behind his children , Penny Hill, Cheryl Headrick Patty (Beck), Nancy Cardwell (Billy), Stephanie Taylor (Juangus), Johnny Ray Hankins, William Allen Haynes, 21 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. He served in the U.S. Army and was in the Korean War. Retired from State Siding and Roofing of Knoxville, TN. He loved to fish, travel, spend time with his family and spread joy with his beautiful smile. Eugene also had great love for people and animals. Family will receive friends at Open Door Church, 2806 Sherman St., Knoxville, TN 37921, on Tuesday, April 27th, 2021 from 10:30am to 11:30am with an interment to follow at East Tennessee Veteran Cemetery John Sevier Highway at 12:30pm.
