Eugene Peneo Cosmah

Eugene ‘Pete” Peneo Cosmah 79, of Knoxville, passed away May 17th 2022 at Fort Sanders Hospital. He retired from the Dover Elevator Company in 2004. He was enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1964 where he served 6 years. He was awarded a Good Conduct medal and a Sharp Shooter medal. Pete was also a long time member of the local VFW and Eagles Club. Pete always tried to see the good in everyone, and was loved by so many. Proceeded in death by his parents; David and Eliza Cosmah, and son; Freddy Jones. Survived by; loving wife, Lynn Cosmah, sister; Starlet Horner, sons; Bradley Jones and Eugene Cosmah II. Pete has 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren to whom he loved dearly. The family will receive friends 4:00-6:00pm Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City. Family and friends will meet 10:45am Friday, May 20, 2022 at Huckleberry Springs Cemetery, 2092 Huckleberry Springs Rd. Knoxville, Tennessee 37914, for an 11:00am graveside service, with full military honors provided by the East Tn Veterans Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers please donate to your local VFW.
