Mrs. Ethel Lee Rush, age 89, from Corryton, Tennessee, entered into her rest Sunday, April 15th, 2018 at her home. She was a beloved mother and grandmother, but above all she was a child of God and taught many children about Jesus over the years as a Sunday school teacher. She was an excellent cook, a lover and healer of animals and never came across any plant, flower or tree that she could not nourish and make grow. She will always be remembered for the strength and courage she had during the last few years of her life, and she will be greatly missed and loved by her family and friends.
Ethel was born December 28, 1928 to William Grant and Emma Martin and is also predeceased by her husband Rev. Ernest Rush; daughter Judy Rush Elliott, Siblings, Ralph Parker, Earl Martin, Annie Bell Martin, Lilly Mae Rush Long. She is survived by children, Shirley (Jim) Bean, Ernie (Jeannie) Rush, Lisa Rush; Grandchildren, Scott, Tina, Dena, Wade, Michelle, Ernie Jr., Eric, Darian, LeeAnn, Katelyn, and several great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel on Wednesday April 18, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow. Family and friends will meet at Mynatt Funeral Home on Thursday April 19, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. to process to Little Valley Cemetery for a 2:00 p.m. interment. Rev. Teddy Mitchell and Ryan Hatcher officiating. Pallbearers: Ernie Rush, Eric Rush, Wade Bean, Chris Hatcher, Pete Laulusa, and Robert Rutherford. Honorary pallbearers: Great grandsons.
