Esther Mae Mcmahan

Esther Mae McMahan, age 89, of Knoxville Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on Monday November 6, 2017. Esther was a faithful member of Outreach Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by husband G.W. McMahan Sr. and daughter Charlotte Emerson. She is survived by daughters Brenda (Terry) Tharpe, Cathy (Rondy) Brooks, sons Reverend JR (Lynn) McMahan, Paul (Janet) McMahan, grandchildren Jeffrey (Elizabeth) Tharpe, Duran (Kris) Harmon, Matt (Rachel) McMahan, Reverend Jonathan (Beth) Tharpe, Sandy (Michael) Seal, Zachary McMahan, Kelsey (Cody) Williams, Jacob McMahan, Mike (Kathy) Brooks, eleven great grandchildren, and also special niece Marie Edmondson and friend Mary Hollifield. Special thanks to caregivers Kelsey Williams, Ruthie Human, Lynn McMahan, and RN’s at Covenant Hospice. The family will receive friends on Tuesday November 7, 2017 between 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel. Funeral service to follow, with Reverend Richard Nicely and Reverend JR McMahan officiating. Family and friends will meet at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City chapel at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday November 8th to travel in procession to Fort Sumter Memorial Gardens for a 2:00 p.m. interment service. Honorable Pallbearers Terry Tharpe, Rondy Brooks, Jack Edmondson and Mike Brooks. Grandchildren will also be pallbearers.
