Essie James Moore

Essie J. Moore,  age 99 of Powell, got promoted to Heaven peacefully Sunday evening June 2, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.  Life-long member of the Church of God.  Her life was devoted to God and family.  In her Christian circle, she was known as a “Prayer Warrior”; lovingly in the family, she was known as the “Queen”.  Her joy was her flowers, vegetable garden, cooking family dinners surrounded by her family.  Preceded in death by her parents, Riley and Mary Alice James; husband, Frank Virgil Moore.   Survivors; daughter, Brenda J. Albert; son, Bishop F. Jimmy Moore (Judy); grandchildren, Andrea Averett (Tony), Jessica Moore and Ashley B. Payne; great-grandchildren, Alex and Abby Averett, Anslee and Braxton Payne; several nieces and nephews.  The body will lie in state from 3:00-4:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at Hills Union United Methodist Church 2483 Hills Chapel Road,Dandridge, TN 37725 followed by a 4:00 p.m. graveside service in the church cemetery, Rev.
