Ernest Lynn Ward

Ernest Lynn Ward, age 67 of Knoxville, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2019 at his home. He was a member of Real Life Baptist Church, a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean Conflict, and was called by God to preach the word in 1982. He was a loving dad and papaw, a hard worker, and lived life to the fullest. Preceded in death by parents Otha and Beulah Ward, and his 4 brothers and 4sisters. Survived by daughter Melissa Brefini, sons Josh Ward, Chris Ward, Stevie Michaels and R.J. Michaels, grandchildren Cheyenne, Ethan, Hunter, and Isaac, the mother of his children Sherry Anderson, brother Junior Ward, as well as several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Monday, February 11th, 2019 at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with a service to follow at 8:00 pm, Rev. Alvin Anderson officiating. Family and friends will meet at 12:45 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel on Tuesday, February 12th, 2019 to proceed to Stock Creek Cemetery for a 2:00 pm interment.
