Elijah William James

Elijah William James, age 12, passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023.

Elijah “Eli” William James, age 12 of Knoxville, peacefully went to be with the Lord in his mother’s arms on the morning of July 11, 2023. He was a lover of animals, music, art, and playing power wheelchair soccer. He was an absolute light and inspiration to every life he touched.

Preceded in death by aunt Melanie Suter. 

Survived by parents Dawn James and William James; step-father Richard Jones; sisters Skylar Morse and Kennedy Jones; maternal grandparents John “Corky” North and Carla North; paternal grandparents Neil James and Susan James; aunts and uncles Kimber North, Jeff Smith, Tiffany Metcalf, Sarah James, and Wesley James; as well as countless cousins and friends.

Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, July 23, 2023, at Mynatt Funeral Home Powell Chapel from 1:00pm until time of Celebration of Life service at 3:00pm with Rev. Chase Phillips officiating.

In lieu of flowers, family is requesting donations be made to The Ethan Parsley Foundation, 7212 Olive Branch Knoxville, TN 37931, in Elijah's honor.
