Elsie Jacqueline “Jackie” Ingwersen Bauer – formerly of Dallas, Texas, peacefully passed away at her home in Knoxville, Tennessee on April 23, 2015. Jackie, 91, was born in Nederland, Texas on February 9, 1924. Daughter of the late Elbert and Isabella (Bjerring) Ingwersen. Sister of the late Pat Ingwersen Quoyeser. Jackie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and educator in the Dallas Independent School District. She was also a devout Catholic and member of St. Albert the Great Parish, Knoxville, TN and member of the National Fraternity of the Secular Franciscan Order-USA. She was a master gardener and loved all animals, especially dogs, but most of all her “Mo”. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband and best friend of 65 years, Paul Wilkin Bauer. Jackie and Paul lived in Dallas for over 50 years and together were members of St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church in Oak Cliff. Her greatest gift was servicing and meeting the needs of others through her faith. She is survived by daughter Barbara Anne (husband, Larry) Wynn; son, Robert Paul Bauer (wife, Juanita); daughter, Betty Jean (husband, George) Banke; and son, John Sigurd (wife, Shari) Bauer. She leaves behind eight grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A service to celebrate Jackie’s life will be held Wednesday, May 13th at 11:30am in the pavilion at the new East Tennessee Veteran’s Cemetery at 2200 East John Sevier Highway, Knoxville, TN.
