Elma R. Ammons

Elma R. Ammons, age 77, of Knoxville, passed on Thursday, December, 27, 2018. She was a faithful member of Valley View Baptist Church. Elma loved all her children and was very proud of her family. She will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by husband of 20 years, Carl Ammons, sister Lois Ann Rockwell, and brothers Donnie and Jimmy Grindstaff. Elma is survived by son Mark Ammons Sr. (Christy), daughter Rebecca Ammons, sister Sandra Jenice Shaver; grandchildren Mark Ammons Jr, Ashley Harper, Billy Ray Harper III, Christian Ammons, along with several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 5:00 -7:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel on Saturday, December 29, 2018 with a service to follow at 7:00 pm, Gillis Jackson officiating. Family and friends will meet at 12:30 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel on Sunday, December 30, 2018 to process to Greenwood Cemetery for a 1:00 pm interment.
