Ellen Faye Abner Kitts

Ellen Faye Abner Kitts, age 75, On October 1, 2014, God called home an angel, she was surrounded by the family that she loved so much in life. She was foremost a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who sacrificed daily for her family. We are devastated with grief from her loss, but we all know we will see her in heaven one day. Ellen was born on February 27, 1939, and was the daughter of the late Joe and Dicie Abner. She married Elbert Kitts in 1956 and raised eight children. Ellen, a woman of faith was a wonderful mother, who taught her children to trust The Lord and seek His guidance. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and a good cup of coffee while sitting on the back porch visiting her much loved family. She was predeceased by her brother Thurman and sister Barbara. She leaves behind the rock of this family, Elbert Kitts. She also leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her children: David and his wife Cindy Kitts, Donna Murray and her husband Dave Lewis, Tim Kitts, Ron Kitts, Dan Kitts, Paul Kitts, John and his wife Jennifer Kitts, and Angie Collins. She also leaves grandchildren: Aaron and his wife Hilary Murray, Renea and her husband Tommy King, Amber Murray, Valerie and her husband Derrick Gilland, Daniel Kitts, Nathan Kitts, Jonathan Kitts, Rachel and her husband Taylor Babcock, Houston Kitts, Andrew Kitts, Kayla Collins, Joshua Kitts, and Alyssa Collins, and great-grandchildren Ashton and Anthony King, Elle and Emma Kitts, Barrett Gilland, Lyra Murray, Dexter Kitts, and Mila Murray. She is also survived by siblings: Gladys Murphy, Bob and his wife Joyce Abner, Gene and his wife Joyce Abner, Juanita and her husband Tommy Beckham, and Brenda Burgin. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Friday, October 3, 2014 at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with the service to follow with eulogies by children and grandchildren, Reverend Herbert Jones officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:15 am Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel and proceed to Kitts Family Cemetery on Texas Valley Road for a 10:00 am interment.
