Elizabeth Lumbert

Remell Elizabeth Lumbert of Heiskell, born March 22, 1931 in Loyston, TN, passed away April 27th at home from complications from a Stroke in February. She was retired from Anderson County Schools after working as a Teacher’s Aide at DARC and Andersonville Elementary schools. She was the daughter of the late John A. Mitchell and Stella B. Mitchell. Also, preceding her in death, husband of 59 years, Gene Lumbert; infant son, Jeffery Lumbert; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Gary Clark; daughters-in-law, Donna and Brenda Lumbert; brother, John C. Mitchell; sisters, Nell Mitchell, Lois Golden and Mary Havens. Survived by son, John Lumbert; grandchildren, Tracy Clark (Sujit) Chemburkar, Wesley Chapel, FL, Gavin (Melanie) Clark, Foreman, AR, Brandon Clark, Kelly Flatford, Tisha Gilbert; eight great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Sue Mitchell of Andersonville; brother-in-law, Wade Miller of Knoxville; many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 7:30 pm Monday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with funeral service to follow at 7:30 pm. Family and friends will meet 9:15 am Tuesday at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, GJS for 9:30 am interment.
