Eilena Brantley Wyrick

Eilena Brantley Wyrick, age 84 of Knoxville, joined her true love of 62 years, Gene, Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at North Knox Medical Center. She was a long time member of Emory Pike American Christian Church. She was a loving wife, mother, mamaw, sister and a caring friend to all who knew her. She worked for many years as a seamstress at Standard Knitting Mill. We want to thank her wonderful close friends, Roy and Janice Larue, for always loving her as we did. Preceded in death by husband, Kenneth “Gene” Wyrick; parents, Onis and Bulah Sorey Brantley; brothers, Earl Brantley, Vernon Brantley; sister, Wandella Myers. Survived by sons, Rick Wyrick and wife Vicki, Mark Wyrick and wife Teresa; grandsons, Cody and Jacob Wyrick; sisters, Eva Rogers and husband R.T., Bernice Long and husband Berney; many nieces and nephews. Funeral service 8:00 pm Friday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with Rev. Kevin Roberts and Rev. Dallas Harrell officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45 am Saturday at Lynnhurst Cemetery for 11:00 am interment. Pallbearers will be Rick Wyrick, Mark Wyrick, Cody Wyrick, Jacob Wyrick, Leroy Lay and Randy Byrd. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Building Fund at Emory Pike American Christian Church, c/o Sandra Zachary, 7809 Boruff Road, Corryton, TN 37721. Family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Friday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
