Effie Golden

Effie Golden, age 86 of Kokomo, Indiana, formerly of Knoxville, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013. She was of the Baptist faith, member of the Eastern Star, and Halls High School graduate. Formerly employed with Walgreens and Standard Knitting Mills in Knoxville and Delco Electronics in Indiana. Preceded in death by parents, John Ross and Margaret Belle Mynatt; grandparents, Pryor and Lillie O’Dell Mynatt; son, Wayne C. Golden; brothers, Curtis E. Mynatt, Kenneth L. Mynatt. Survived by husband of 65 years, Clyde Golden; children, David C. Golden, Grayling L. Golden, Donna K. Dunn, Phyllis Timmons; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Rebecca Sue Haggard, Martha Jane Little, Genevieve Tillett; brother, Douglas Neil Mynatt; many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends 2:00 – 4:00 pm Sunday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with funeral service to follow. Rev. Archie Haggard officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45 am Monday at Ft. Sumter Cemetery for 11:00 am interment.
