Edwin Booth Bradley, 80, passed away Sunday December 5, 2021, surrounded by his loved ones. Even though his failing heart took him away from this world, his loving heart left a beacon of light for all in the community.
Ed proudly served in the Army, retired from TVA, and loved sports. He was a player, coach, and avid fan, especially of the UT VOLS. As a coach, he touched many lives by building self-confidence and helping both kids and adults realize their full potential. His selfless commitment to others inspired all who knew him.
Ed was preceded in death by his mother Mary Margaret Booth Bradley, father George Bradley, sister Sandy, twin sister Patricia, and brother Michael.
Survived by his loving friend and companion Dimple Thompson and her family; loving nieces Lisa Dockery (husband, Donnie) and Sharon Campbell (husband, Jason); great-nephews Brett Dockery and Gavin Campbell; great-niece Alyssa Campbell; he is also survived by numerous friends, to many to name individually.
The family will receive friends Thursday, December 9th from 5:00-6:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 6:00 pm officiated by Rev. Ray Jones. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home on Friday, December 10th at 10:15 am for a procession to Greenwood Cemetery for an 11:00 am graveside service officiated by Rev. Mike Vincent. Serving as pallbearers will be Gavin Campbell, Brett Dockery, Donnie Dockery, Jason Campbell, Dennis Jones, and Gale Winchester.
