Edward “Ray’ Stover (Daddo)- 90 entered into eternal rest on January 20, 2014. He was born in Knoxville, Tn, February 19, 1923, the son of Mack C. and Della Stover. He graduated from Knoxville High School. He proudly served our country in World War II, a member of the United States Army 1st Aircraft Repair Unit (Floating). Ray was a machinist at Y-12 Union Carbide Nuclear Division retiring in 1986. He was of the United Methodist faith. He was preceded in death by his wife Clara Helen Stover; infant daughter Sherron Stover; grandson Stephen Cooper; son-in-law Daniel F. Cooper; parents Mack and Della Stover; brothers Glenn and Cecil Stover. He is survived by daughter Trina Cooper; daughter and son-in-law Jina and Conard Stair; son Duane Russell Stover; son and daughter-in-law Joseph Andrew and Kathy Stover; grandchildren Chris Cooper (Tiffany), Sam Cooper (Beth), Julie Newman (Bart), Joey Stair, Zack, Ben and Shelby Stover; great-grandchildren Haley and Jacob Cooper, Will Cooper, Bryson, Raelie and Paris Newman. Family and friends will meet 10:15am Friday and proceed to Woodlawn Cemetery for an 11am Interment, Rev. Kent Williams officiating. Pallbearers: Conard Stair, Joey Stair, Bart and Bryson Newman, Chris and Sam Cooper, Zack and Ben Stover. Family will receive friends 6-8pm Thursday Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel.
