Edward Mack Cooper, Sr., age 72 of Knoxville, went to be with his Lord and Savior in the morning hours of Sunday, February 19, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Eddie never wanted worldly things or fancy things. As long as he had a roof over his head, food to eat and his family was taken care of, he was a happy man. Eddie preached for fifty plus years about this man Jesus. He is now with him in Glory. Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Cora Cooper; brothers, John and Jack Cooper; sister, Nina Vance; two infant children and “His Moon”, grandson, Jefferson Williford. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Cooper; children, Melissia and (J.R.) Green and Edward Mack Cooper, Jr., all of Knoxville; grandchildren, William Williford, Jr. (Kayla), Chelsea Green (Cory), all of Knoxville, Rayjack Green (Sara) of Oak Ridge, Eli Green, Isabella Green and Mychaela Cooper, all of Knoxville; great grandchildren, Harper Williford, Waylon Gideon and Wynston Gideon, all of Knoxville; brothers, Sherman Cooper of Florida, Ronald Cooper of Knoxville, David Cooper of Jefferson County; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends Charlie McGill, Ted Cooper, and John Cox. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel with funeral service to follow. Pastor Philip Burns officiating.
