Sergeant Edward Lee Lampley III, age 32, of Knoxville passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2022. He was born in Laurel, MS on Monday, January 22, 1990 to Edward L. Lampley Jr. and Wanda Lampley. Edward graduated from North East Jones High School in 2009 and joined the United States Army National Guard in 2010. He was enrolled at Purdue University where he earned his associate degree and was currently working toward earning his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He worked for Eby-Brown Trucking Company and owned his own paint company. Edward was a fine outstanding young man. He had a good heart, was very kind, and very helpful. He loved karaoke and his passion was his family. Edward was preceded in death by his father, Edward Lampley Jr.; sister, Jasmine McCarty; grandmother, Thelma Lampley; grandfather, Edward Lampley Sr.; grandfather, Edward Parker; aunt, Deborah Daniels; and uncle, Kevin Parker. He is survived by his wife, Jamie (Cuzydlo) Lampley; sons, Mylin Patrick and Skylin Lee Lampley; mother, Wanda Lampley; sisters, Shequine Lampley of Knoxville, TN and Shawanda (Eric) Johnson of Laurel, MS; brother, Ramonda McCarty of Pensacola, FL; grandmother, Thelma Jones of Laurel, MS; mother-in-law, Sherree (Doug) McKee of Knoxville, TN; father-in-law, Jim Cuzydlo of Belvedere, IL; brothers-in-law, Shane (Jessica) Polnow of Roscoe, IL and Shawn (Marie) Polnow of Rockford, IL; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with funeral service to follow at 12:30 pm Rev. Shawn Angel officiating. Family and friends will then go in procession to East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery 2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920 for a 2:00 pm interment.
