Edward Steven Clevenger

Rev. Edward Steven Clevenger age 68 of Knoxville, went to be with the Jesus on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at his home with his wife by his side.  Member of Bethany Baptist Church and retired from Trucking Transportation after 20 years of service.  He was a veteran of the VietNam Conflict serving in the United States Marine Corps.  He was a Baptist minister serving wherever the Lord called him until around 2011.  Preceded in death by parents, Nancy and Robert Clevenger and brother, Dennis Clevenger.  Survivors, wife of 5 years, Mary Jane Clevenger, Daughter, Tina Norman, step-daughter, Melissa (Franky) Slagle, step-son, Tony Atkins, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Sister, Charlotte Branch and husband, Calvin.  Brothers, Bill Clevenger and Danny Clevenger and wife, Carol.  Many nieces and nephews.  The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday, May 14, 2023 at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel followed by a 7:00 p.m. funeral service Rev. Larry Woods officiating.  Family and friends will meet 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 15, 2023 at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel to leave in procession for a 2:00 p.m. committal service at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery (John Sevier) with full military honors provided by the East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard.  Condolences may be left at www.mynattfh.com
