Edward B. Lambert, MSGT (Ret.) US Air Force, age 66, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord Friday, June 5, 2015. He served honorably in the US Air Force for 20 years and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He also retired from the US Postal Service and was a member of Riverview Baptist Church in Harrogate, TN. He was preceded in death by parents, Olis and Juanita Lambert. Survivors include wife of 47 years Wanda Lambert, son James Lambert and wife Cynthia, daughter Shona Knifley and husband Rollin, grandchildren Kayla Bradford and husband Jessie , Cole and Reid Hamlin, and Ella and Eden Lambert, great grandchildren Cody and Colton Bradford, brother Doug Lambert and wife Helen, sisters Sherrie Surber and husband Bill, and Deborah Sluss, as well as several sisters-in law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Funeral service will be 7 PM Tuesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with Rev. Brock Tharpe officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:30 AM Wednesday at Mynatt Funeral Home to proceed to East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery Gov. John Sevier for interment and full military honors at 11:30 AM. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Tuesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
