Edna Jean Binkley

Edna Jean Binkley, age 81, peacefully went to her Eternal Home Friday evening. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, David; two precious daughters, Karen and Julie; brothers-in-law, Jerry Binkley of Knoxville and Fred Binkley of Pennsylvania; sister-in-law, Marilyn Barnes of Atlanta; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Binkley graduated from Central High School and Carson-Newman College. After a few years as an elementary school teacher, she fulfilled her chosen career as mother and housewife. She was an active member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church where she sang in the Celebration Choir and Hallelujah Chorus. The family will receive friends at Wallace Memorial Baptist Church from 6:00-7:30pm on Monday, July 2, 2018 with service to follow. Graveside will be at Greenwood Cemetery at 10:00am on Tuesday, July 3, 2018. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the International Mission Board - to do so, Checks may be made to Wallace Memorial Baptist Church and Mailed to 701 Merchants Drive, Knoxville, TN 37912.
