Edith Majority, age 86 of Knoxville, departed her life peacefully on January 27, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family at her bedside. Born April 6, 1926 at Typo, Kentucky to the late A. P. and Effie Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Majority; son, Paul Gene Majority and grandson, David Allen Majority; 4 sisters and 3 brothers. Edith is survived by her children, James N. Majority and wife Peggy of Moyock, NC, Frankie J. Majority, Knoxville, ex daughter-in-law, Pat Majority of Knoxville, Charles D. Majority and wife Emileen of Flowermound, TX, Mary H. Fields and husband David of Knoxville, Betty L. Davis of Knoxville, Billy R. Majority and wife Tami of Knoxville; 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Patty Majority, Whitesburg, KY, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Edith was a devoted Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. Edith will be deeply missed by all her family and friends. Edith enjoyed her life and friends at Sunnybrook Apartments and enjoyed all the activities at the community center. Funeral service 8:00 pm Wednesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with Rev. Randy Williams officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45 am Thursday at Lynnhurst Cemetery for 11:00 am interment. Pallbearers will be sons and grandsons. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
